Pinwheel Sandwiches

Think Spring and wind as you make this fun "pinwheel" sandwich with your child!
You'll need:
4 slices soft whole wheat bread 2 cans tuna mayonnaise rolling pin can opener bowl spoon plastic knife (for child) sharp knife (for adult) plastic wrap Popsicle (wooden craft) sticks
What to do:
- Let your child help you mix the tuna and mayonnaise together for the tuna salad.
- Trim the crusts off the bread.
- Help your child roll each slice with a rolling pin to flatten.
- Let her help spread the tuna salad on one side of each flattened bread slice using a plastic knife.
- Roll the bread like a jellyroll and wrap each roll in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate one to two hours, then remove the plastic wrap.
- Slice the rolls and invite your child to insert a Popsicle stick into one side for an authentic looking edible pinwheel treat.
