My Halloween Mural

My Halloween Mural

[20 Minutes]

Make a Halloween mural with your child and date it. This will become a cherished decoration throughout the years!

You'll need:

• large sheet of drawing paper • crayons and markers • tape

What to do:

  1. Cover a table with drawing paper and tape it to the table. You may want to protect the table top with extra paper or put a plastic tablecloth underneath the paper.
  2. Invite your child to be creative and draw Halloween pictures all over the paper.
  3. Encourage him to use the black and orange colors of Halloween.
  4. Help him draw the outlines of ghosts with black crayon. Invite him to draw them in his own way.
  5. Draw some pictures yourself and ask your child to tell you what they are.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What did we draw on the paper to make it look like Halloween?
  • What colors did we use? Why did we use those colors?
  • Where should we hang this decoration?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, this activity helps your child develop small muscle skills and language skills.
