Paper Plate Frisbee

Paper Plate Frisbee

[20 Minutes]

Whirl a homemade Frisbee outdoors for some fun in the sun!

You'll need:

• paper plate (foam ones work well) • markers or crayons • stickers (optional) • crayons

What to do:

  1. Invite your child to decorate a paper plate as she wishes, either with crayons, markers, and/or colorful stickers.
  2. When finished, ask her to go outdoors with you to play with her new toy.
  3. Stand in an open area and help your child toss the paper plate into the air like a Frisbee.
  4. Toss it back and forth. See how far it will fly.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • I like how you colored your new toy. Tell me about your decorations.
  • Look at it fly in the air. What other toys can fly in the sky?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, your child is developing small and large muscle skills.
