St. Patrick's Day 20 Questions

St. Patrick's Day 20 Questions

[20 Minutes]

Play this holiday game by choosing a St. Patrick’s Day related person, place, or thing. With no more than 20 questions, see if your child can guess correctly and win the game. Playing this game helps improve thinking skills and vocabulary skills.

What to do:

If possible, print out these directions. Read them through with your child before you begin.

How to play:

  1. Think of a person, place or thing that is related to St. Patrick’s Day. Give your child a clue by saying, “I’m thinking of something… (that is a person, place or thing) seen during St. Patrick’s Day.”
  2. Encourage your child to guess what you are thinking by asking no more than twenty questions that can be answered “yes, no, or I don’t know.”
  3. When your child guesses correctly, switch roles. It is now her turn to give you clues and your turn to guess the answer.
  4. Here are some holiday words to consider: Shamrock, Rainbow, Ireland, Leprechaun, Blarney Stone, Gold, Saint Patrick, etc. Clues should be appropriate for the knowledge of age and knowledge level of your child.
