Making Rain

It doesn't have to be a rainy day to play this rainmaking game in the bathtub with your toddler.

You'll need:

• empty plastic jug with handle • sharp scissors or knife

What to do:

Wash out plastic bottle. Punch lots of holes in the sides. Give it to your toddler in the bathtub. Show her how to fill the bottle with water in the tub and then hold it up to make it "rain." Sing rainy day songs such as "Rain, Rain, Go Away," and "It's Raining, It's Pouring." If it really is a rainy day, look out the window with your child and talk about what you see.
