Kitchen Drum

Kitchen Drum

Toddlers can begin to play simple instruments and listen to music. Playing music with your child helps develop listening skills and language skills.

You'll need:

• cooking pots • spoons

What to do:

Show your toddler how to turn a saucepan upside down. Give him some spoons. Let him experiment with banging the pot. Show him how to make different sounds, loud and soft, fast and slow. Get another pot and spoon and play together.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • Let's play fast.
  • Let's play slow.
  • Let's play loud.
  • Let's play soft.
