Following Directions

Following directions can be fun when it is made into a game.

You'll need:

• music

What to do:

Show your child what you want him to do. Some possibilities are spin around, moving forward and backward, and reaching up high or bending down low. First let him copy your movements. Then see if he can follow your directions. Play music as you do this to make it more fun.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • Let's bend down. Now let me see you bend down by yourself.
  • I will pick a book from the shelf and give it to you. Can you give me the book?
