Silly Animals

Silly Animals

[30 Minutes]

Your child will be delighted to create a zoo full of silly animals.

You'll need:

• glue • scissors • color animal pictures cut from nature magazines • cardboard or sturdy paper

What to do:

  1. Invite your child to glue animal pictures onto cardboard or sturdy paper.
  2. Talk about the animal features together as he is gluing.
  3. Assist him in cutting the pictures into parts: head, body, tail, legs, wings. You may have to use a marker to help him know where to cut.
  4. Encourage him to reassemble the parts, puzzle fashion to create silly animals.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • Why is that animal you put together so silly?
  • If you were to name that animal, what would you name it?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, this activity helps your child develop small muscle skills, matching skills and body awareness.
