Go for a Walk and Make a Holiday Gift

Take a nature walk together and look for tree branches to decorate for the holidays.
You'll need:
appropriate walking clothes a bag to hold collected branches construction paper tape or glue scissors (ADULT USE)
What to do:
- Together take a nature walk. Encourage your child to look for pine tree branches. If pine trees do not grow in your area any tree branch will do.
- Make paper chains to decorate the branch.
- Cut strips from construction paper. Help your child make loops with the strips and tape or glue them to form a circle.
- Fasten each loop into another until you have made a chain.
- Invite your child to decorate the tree branch with the paper chain.
- Challenge him to decide who to give the holiday decoration to.
