Cookie Trifle

Cookie Trifle

[20 Minutes]

Use leftover holiday goodies to make this special treat with your child.

You'll need:

• leftover holiday cookies • 1 package vanilla instant pudding • 2 cups cold milk • whipped cream • 2 bowls • cherries • mixing spoon

What to do:

  1. Encourage your child to crumble about 1 cup of cookies. Place in a bowl.
  2. Help your child mix pudding and cold milk in another bowl. Pour over cookie crumbs. Let set 5 minutes.
  3. Let your child squirt on homemade or store-bought whipped cream.
  4. Together, decorate with cherries.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What is your favorite kind of cookies?
  • What else could we make with broken cookies?
  • Which do you like best: cookies, pudding, or whipped cream?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, this activity helps your child develop small muscle skills, eye/hand coordination, and pre-math skills.
